Grilled Fresh Figs & Caramelized Bananas w/Cream

INGREDIENTS
FIGS AND BANANAS
- 2 Fresh figs, halved
- 1 Ripe banana, peeled and sliced
- Extra virgin olive oil to coat fruit
MASCARPONE CREAM
- 1 ounce Frangelico
- 1 ounce Baileys Irish cream
- 250 ml Mascarpone cheese
BALSAMIC SYRUP
- 2 cups Balsamic vinegar
- 2 tbls Packed brown sugar
PREPARATION
FIGS AND BANANAS
- Cut figs in half and bananas in half and in quaters.
- Toss figs and bananas in olive oil, just enough to prevent sticking to the grill.
- Grill figs on high for 5 minutes and bananas for about 2 miutes just to mark.
MASCARPONE CREAM
- Stir frangelico and baileys into mascarpone cheese and set aside.
BALSAMIC SYRUP
- Reduce balsamic vinegar and brown sugar until it reaches a syrup consistency.
- Let cool.
ASSEMBLY
- Swirl the balsamic syrup in middle of plate.
- Place a dollop of mascarpone mixture in the middle.
- Surround wiith bananas and figs.
- Garnish with fresh mint and toasted nuts.
